To get started with us, you will want to create an attorney account and then contact us at Support@legalsan.com with your desired legal categories and widest possible geographical location. We will set up your custom targeting, and you can add funds as desired. (Scroll down for information on our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, E-Commerce Policy, or Affiliates Program) The following may not apply to California Firms Are your legal leads exclusive? We are unique among the majority of our competitors in that all leads are sold only once. We check all new leads the moment they come in against all former leads which we hold on file for at least 30 days. Any lead with a matching email/phone number is marked as a duplicate and ineligible for sale or distribution. Keep in this in mind when comparing to other companies with both higher pricing who are ALSO selling your leads to 3 or more buyers. Are your legal leads real-time? Opportunities are distributed real-time within milliseconds with occasional leads held for quality review spot checks. We do not store leads for resale. When a lead comes in, it is immediately sent to the next available account who can help the prospect in that state. What type of legal leads do you offer? We are generating new potential opportunities for nearly all area of law in all states. All of these are prospects seeking legal help and designed for any size law firm. You can target a single area of law or multiple. Do you filter for quality? Our quality begins first with our initial ads. We avoid using words like "free" "pro bono" "legal aid" and other terms that lower quality. We use our easy to use feedback system (Status updates) to monitor for patterns of successes and tackling any indicators of low quality immediately to improve ROI on an ongoing basis. We use numberous third party verification services to make sure we are providing the highest quality leads possible. For accounts using the pay-per-lead system, we use data from return requests to also optimize campaigns. How are your legal leads generated? We generate the majority of leads through our own internal campaigns since 2001 and are considered a wholesaler for some of the largest networks in the country. This means we can insure quality from start to finish. In the last couple years, we have also partnered with dozens of powerful lead providers and sem specialists. When funding your account for 20+ leads, we introduce your offer to many of these partners for robust legal lead campaigns. All prospects come to us, all request information without incentivization, and all are extremely targeted to needing legal help for current and future issues. How do I pay for leads? We will accept all major credit cards. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. In the Backoffice Portal you can add funds at any time. For larger law firms or national networks who are buying huge volumes of lead, wiring or ACH is recommended. We allow pro-rated refunds of your account with 24 hour notice for any balance not yet used. We HIGHLY recommend taking your average cost per lead and adding enough funds to cover twenty leads. By keeping your account funded well in advance, you assure your lead volume grows without interruption. 30+ day lead forecasts for max potential funding are available once you setup your account and before you begin. *California accounts are setup with a monthly budget for overall Advertising spend. How do you deliver your leads? In addition to the Legalsan.com portal, all leads are delivered primarily by email in real-time. We highly recommend contacting us or checking your backoffice if case of email issues. You may request complimentary SMS text message notification of leads to your cell phone. Your phone charges still apply by your carrier. Direct Post or Ping/Post is availalbe via API that allows you to save on data entry and leads may be inserted directly into your CRM. Downloading of all leads in excel, cvs, and pdf formats is available within your Legalsan.com portal. How long does it take to get my leads? You can "Create Your Account" at the top of the website instantly. Then email us at Support@legalsan.com your desired areas of law and the widest geography for each. We usually can have everything setup within 24 hours. Then fund your account after or before we confirm targeting is setup. Lead flow increases as you continue as a client, allowing us to add even more supportive ad campaigns. While leads CAN start within 24 hours, allow at least a week for your campaign to make transaction, and keep in mind we send out a newsletter for well-funded clients with information on how to increase your lead flow. Can I get credit for bad leads? We have an extremely fair system for making Lead Refund Requests for individual, invalid leads. You have a 5-day window (defined as five, 24-hour cycles from the moment of lead delivery) within your Legalsan.com Portal to make a Lead Refund Request. After five, 24-hour cycles the credit option expires for each lead. All leads are sold "as is" since we can't resell a lead if it's not real-time. However, we will replace verifiable wrong numbers and leads obviously outside their category or location by looking at the lead's description. A full list of valid reasons for refund credit requests can be found in our e-commerce policy below or at this link. Valid Refund Requests To request a refund credit, simply use the link in the Backoffice Portal which will allow us to verify the lead and often issue a credit to your account balance within 48 hours. Our verification department will confirm the reasons stated in all requests. While waiting for credit, be sure to keep your account funded so you don't miss out on other leads. We do not replace leads that you do not reach that have a working voicemail or matching CallerID. The key to getting your invalid returns improved is details unique to each lead. PLEASE NOTE: Live Call Transfers are verified using ONLY the recording of the initial call. *Return system is available for eligible accounts only. What if I can't contact a lead? It is expected that there will be a percentage of leads that you will not connect with. This is the case in all lead verticals. If the lead has a working voicemail, it is considered valid. While we can’t control the lead's availability it is our job to keep the number of "no contact" leads to a minimum. Make sure you are reaching out via phone/email/text making the best possible effort toward success. In the end, it comes down to your overal CPA and ROI, not each individual lead. “But do I get credit for a "no contact" lead?” . If a you are concerned that the phone number might not be accurate after several days of attempts (email/phone/text), you are welcome to reach out to us via email asking us to do additional research. If we find something that leads us to believe the number might be invalid, we may be able to credit the lead as a courtesy. “What if I finally speak with the lead after the 5-day window and it's invalid?” It’s always possible that you will end up connecting with the lead after all, but it's too late to request credit in your account. As long as we haven't closed out the month, we are happy to manually submit this request for you outside the 5-day return window. How do account refunds work? Legalsan offers pro-rated refunds of your account balance. You can give us 24-hour notice and request a pro-rated Account Refund (less any bonus funding you have received) at anytime within 120 days of adding those funds to your account. (Please Note: An Account Refund must be to your ORIGINAL source of payment, and the 120-day window cannot be extended.) Clients often ask how much they should fund since they are in control. Beyond our own internal legal lead generation campaigns, we have extraordinarily powerful lead generation partners. Its for that reason we recommend adding enough funds initially to cover 20 leads, and keeping it always funded to cover a minimum of 10 leads. Why? This allows us to create ongoing campaigns and extend it to powerful legal lead generation partners, giving you steady and uninterrupted flow of new legal clients. *Monthly budget funded is non-refundable once you have begin to see lead flow for for that month. Can I target specific areas of law? You can choose from a variety of areas in the legal industry that you wish to receive leads from. These are areas of law that the prospect themselves label as their issue's category. Keep in mind that the more areas of law you select, the more leads you will receive as you cast a larger "net" to gather matched leads. After setting up your account, contact us at Support@legalsan.com with your desired categories. You can have different geographical setups for each category. Once we have setup your location for each area of law and you've funded your account, leads will flow automatically. Can I target specific geographic locations? Of course national lead campaigns deliver fastest, but if you are limited to certain states, all attorneys can select the states they want leads in. The larger the area you can practice in, the faster you will receive leads. For this reason we recommend you select your entire state. If you can't handle the entire state, we have zip code targeting radius allowing you to choose a mile radius from your local zip code which you should make as wide as possible to allow for commuters etc. This can radius can be limited to state lines, so no worries there. Lastly, you can also give us a full list of counties for your target locations. How much funding do we have to add? For Pay-Per-Lead accounts, we recommend you take your cost per lead and multiply it by 20. Fund this amount to begin with and try to keep your account consistently funded to cover the next ten leads. This level of investment enables us to expand your reach by announcing your campaigns in our bi-weekly newsletter to all of our powerful partners, and it enables us to better optimize your presence in our internal advertising campaigns. Keep in mind when funding your account, we always allow pro-rated refunds of any remaining balance in your account if you give us 24-hour notice. We are probably one of the most fair and risk free lead matching services in the legal industry. We offer manual and auto funding, allowing our clients to choose what works best for them. And we have a simple and fair credit return system for individual leads that is quick and easy to use in your Legalsan.com account. Those looking to market in California will work with their account specialist to detrmine a marketing budget that will work best for the firm. Is buying legal leads ethical for attorneys? Online lead generation has existed for years. Companies who have entered the legal lead generation business have already blazed a trail through many of the challenges. The result is a green light for lead generation companies who operate ethically and comply with various states rules on attorney advertisements. Legalsan.com advertises on a group model, which is both legal and ethical. In general, lawyer advertisements (including group advertisements) cannot be misleading. ABA Model Rule 7.1. Since our business model is not a referral service and we are not endorsing or recommending any particular attorney, we do not violate rules on referral services. ABA Model Rule 7.2. Lawyers participating in Legalsan group advertising model pay a fixed fee for their participation. Costs are based on the delivery of prospects. In no way do we ever get payed based on the collection of fees or other contingencies. In other words, there are no fee splitting issues to worry about. e-Commerce Policy Refund Policy Before requesting a pro-rated refund, please remember we have a robust in-house replacement system for invalid leads you need replaced. This can be accessed by the "Credit Request" link on the left side in your backoffice. PLEASE NOTE: Live Call Transfers are verified using ONLY the recording of the initial call. Refunds on Account Balance Legalsan offers refunds of any remaining balance within your account. Please allow 24-hours from the time of your request for refund for us to pause your Legalsan.com account. Account Balance Refunds can be requested anytime within 60 days of adding those funds to your account. Please allow up to 6 to 8 weeks for funds to be returned to the original form of payment (3-6 months for transactions made in December). Any balance requested for return over $5,000 will be subject to a 3% fee. Any balance requested for return for a transaction made in December is subject to an additional 7% service fee. (Please Note: An Account Refund must be to your ORIGINAL source of payment) The amount of a balance refund shall be your current balance at the time we pause your account minus all bonuses funds we have added. Items exempt from return include leads/calls already purchased exclusively and delivered as advertising was already paid in the delivery of this service. To complete your return, simply email us at Support@legalsan.com with the request to suspend your account and issue a pro-rated refund. Your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to the original method of payment within the timeframe listed above. You are always welcome to contact us to check on the status of your refund request. Refunds for accounts on a Monthly Advertising Budget Monthly budget funded is non-refundable once you have begin to see lead flow for for that month. Please provide 24 hour notice via Support@legalsan.com for any updates requests or request to pause your account. Exchanges (if applicable) Requesting a lead credit through our backoffice is the equivalent of an exchange and is granted for disconnected, wrong location, wrong category, and other reasons as listed in the drop-down credit request menu. Balance Transfers We can at anytime transfer unspent balances between accounts at your request, provided we have the original purchasers permission. Shipping All advertising services and information are available to you in your backoffice using the very same login you used to make the purchase and add funds each time. For that reason, you always have access to your purchased data. We will also deliver notification by email and optional text message, however, it is the buyers responsibility to make sure their contact information is up-to-date and check their backoffice in the case of email or text delivery failures. Security Policy Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions.
